12/17/2006 3:34 PM - Here's the start of a ultralight aircraft flight that would become my first aviation accident that resulted in a crash from an apparent paraglider parachutal stall (for still unknown reasons). I'm happy to say, I'm still here to talk about it and am sharing the details with the hopes of improving knowledge/safety in the sport.
My oldest daughter (Christina) went with me to my favorite nearby "airfield" -- a commercial construction zone -- located in Barlett, Illinois and captured this photo of me just before launching (the last picture of my "naturally" working right wrist and elbow before breaking them on this tragic flight).
